REGENERATIVE INJECTION THERAPIES

Pain and inflammation are wiped out—and degeneration is halted and even reversed—when Dr. LaBeau uses injections of medical grade ozone, growth factors, and nutrients to stimulate tissue healing.

PROLOTHERAPY

Prolotherapy (Proliferative Therapy) is a recognized Non-Surgical orthopedic procedure that stimulates the body’s healing processes to strengthen and repair injured and painful joints and connective tissue. Prolotherapy has the ability to address the cause of the instability, repair the weakened sites and produce new collagen tissue, resulting in permanent stabilization of the joint. Anti-inflammatory or other pain relievers only act temporarily & surgery is more risky and fails to stabilize the joint and relieve pain.

The original and most commonly used form of Prolotherapy consisting of Procaine and a Dextrose solution (D50W).

PROLOZONE THERAPY (HI OCTANE PROLOTHERAPY)

PROLOZONE therapy is a second generation Prolotherapy consisting of Procaine, Colloidal Silver, Methyl B12, and Homeopathic anti-inflammatory solution along with Ozone.

Like Prolotherapy, Prolozone Therapy is designed to cause moderately severe pain lasting typically 12 to 24 hours.  You are to avoid Aspirin and other anti-inflammatory medications, like Ibuprofen.  Dr. LaBeau prescribes pain medication like Vicodin, if desired, which does not interfere with the healing process.

Dr. LaBeau will typically initially recommend a trial of 4-6 injections done 2-4 weeks apart.  Typically, multiple points, tailored to the individual, are injected in an area such as a joint or area of the back for optimal results.  Up to 2 areas of the body can be done at a time, but a longer office visit is required when injecting to areas.  To further facilitate healing Dr. LaBeau also recommends myo-fascial soft tissue therapy to be done throughout the treatment process.

In fact, with each injection the natural healing process continues for the next 6-8 weeks just like with an injury.  With each injection there is a cumulative effect!

NEWBORN GROWTH FACTORS  (BEYOND STEM CELLS)

THE CONTROVERSY

When it comes to Regenerative therapy who hasn’t heard of Stem Cell Therapy?  Then next, there is the ongoing academic and ethical debate between the use of Adult vs Fetal stem cells.  The solution? Newborn Growth Factors derived from mothers undergoing scheduled C-Sections. This provides all the benefits of a newborn without the ethical controversy.

THE SCIENCE

Further studies have  shown that your own stem cells are stimulated to contribute to the healing process stimulated by Newborn Growth Factors.  Therefore, these Growth Factors have  the “Punch” of newborns vigor regulating your own stem cells to regenerate damaged tissue!

THE PROCEDURE

Newborn Growth Factors Therapy may cause mild to moderate pain at the site of injection.  You are to avoid Aspirin and other anti-inflammatory medications, like Ibuprofen.

Dr. LaBeau prescribes pain medication like Tramadol for short term use (1-2 days). It does not interfere with the healing process.

Dr. LaBeau typically recommends 1 to 2 injections depending on the patient’s response. Injections are given 3 months apart. Typically, a single point, tailored to the individual, is injected in an area such as a joint or area of the back for optimal results.  Up to 2 different areas of the body can be done at a time.  To further facilitate healing Dr. LaBeau also recommends myo-fascial soft tissue therapy to be done throughout the treatment process every 2 weeks to maximally enhance the healing process.

In patients that get only a partial response with the 1st injection Dr. LaBeau will decide if it would be beneficial to use a larger dose of Newborn Growth Factors or add another agent such as Ozone to the injection.

THE CONCLUSION

Significant pain reduction is common within the 1st week after injection. However, healing continues for the next 8 to 12 weeks.
